There are many ways to help;

We are in search of vendors for saturday afternoon…. produce and other bounties from our gardens and kitchens, arts and crafts, magical items, jewelry, body work etc. We ask a small tithe of only 10% to fund the event program.

We need a small group of people Friday morning to decorate the hall for the dance. We also need people who do not mind getting wet and muddy to do some community service in preparation for sunday’s ritual. we need volunteers for kitchen witchery (cooking, set up, serving, and cleanup)

We are in search of workshop facilitators and teachers to offer 2 hour or 4 hour (with a lunch break in the middle) workshops on Saturday and/or a 2 hour workshop on Sunday. Choose whatever topic or activity that would fit within the theme of the “Earthly Delights” named below. You may set your own sliding scale donation fee for your offering. Though it is preferable for the organizer to not have to deal with preregistration for classes, I can if it is necessary due to materials needs etc.
We ask a small tithe of only 10% to fund the event program. We are in search of people to decorate altars .

We are in search of people to be part of the ritual team to present Saturday (day and evening rituals) and sunday afternoon ritual. Is there one of these Aspects you feel called to , and would love to do a theatrical invocation for? Please contact me.
We need a group of volunteers who would like to offer in service an altar to represent each one of the above named “Earthly Delights”. These altars will be grouped together to create one big altar as an offering of beauty to the Earth Gaia in thanks for all of the pleasure she gives to us. other earthy altars and random acts of love and beauty around the event site will also be welcomed

We need a small group of people Friday morning to decorate the hall for the dance. We also need people who do not mind getting wet and muddy to do some community service in preparation for sunday’s ritual. we need volunteers for kitchen witchery (cooking, set up, serving, and cleanup)

There are probably a million other things people can do that I havn't even thought of yet.

Women In Song

GET TICKETS

Women In Song Night celebrates women’s voices and feminine power onstage. People of all genders are invited to gather and witness women songwriters, musicians and other performing artists who use song as a primary medium for artistic expression, leadership, collaboration, community and source of personal power.

At a time and in an industry where patriarchal standards still rule, we aim to showcase a variety of women who exemplify powerful presence onstage and embody feminine leadership.  These women are raw, unleashed and unapologetic in their self-expression, inspiring us to deepen our connections to self, other and our own creative intelligence.

SENAYIT – pr: SUNITE; meaning: She brings light

SENAYIT is an artistic dream realized. Defined by Senayit Tomlinson’s unique vocal style along with accessible, infectious melodies and the lyrical sophistication of her prolific songwriting. Deep, natural musicianship and the free and open dedication to that calling reveals itself effortlessly at live performances, whether solo or joined by her band. This intuitive musicianship allows for a freedom of movement and expression indicative of jazz players, yet this is contemporary alternative rock and soul based music which grounds itself in the influences of Radio Head, Florence and the Machine, Lana Del Ray, The Black Keys and formidable elders such as Led Zeppelin.

Rorrie Kelly

People hearing Rorie Kelly for the first time often comment, "I can't believe that voice came out of that body." The singer/songwriter has been compared to Joni Mitchell and Sara Bareilles for her catchy-confessional songwriting style, and to Alanis Morisette and Janis Joplin for her raw powerhouse vocals. Rorie's debut release, Wish Upon a Bottlecap, received airplay across the nation. Her follow up live CD, Sincerely Live, featured knockout performances of brand new songs and fan favorites. Rorie is currently working on a new studio release called Rising Rising Rising, and a women's empowerment project called Songs to Start a Fire.

Northern California Women's Music Festival

Come Join Emma and SSOL Sisters at the Northern California Women's Music Festival!

The Northern California Women's Music Festival began as an idea between like minded women who wanted to create a culture and community of sisterhood among the local area performers, artists, and musicians.

The goal of this festival is to connect our communities and to provide women a platform to network, and share common interests through business and the fine arts.  This year, Emma will be performing a set of her music and teaching a SSOL introductory workshop.  We encourage you to come for the entire festival and participate in this amazing community of women artists.

About the SSOL workshop:

“Claim feminine power onstage so you can stop your self-doubt and sabotage and impact the world with your music and message”

Are you a woman singer, songwriter, musician or performer experiencing doubt, fear or resignation around taking the next step?Have you had to deny your feminine self and rely only on your masculine side to get heard in the music world?

Are you turned off by the patriarchal, aggressive vibe of the music industry and sick of feeling like you’re not good enough or you have to prove yourself?

Do you know you have a voice - something to offer the world through music - but shy away from calling yourself “a singer” or “a musician” or when you do say it, you feel like a fraud?

This workshop will focus on one feminine value and energetic wisdom quality - that of receiving.  Through a powerful group exercise, Emma will help you discover how to connect more deeply with your audience and dissolve the barriers holding you back so you can feel more power in expressing your true voice.  Emma will walk you through a non-linear, feminine pathway to help you identify where you are blocked in fully owning that your voice is necessary so you can make the impact you long to make with your music.  She will help you discover what to focus on to develop your authentic creative voice and own your stage so you can stop self-sabotaging and live your musical dream.

In this workshop you will:

  • Learn why we, as women, often struggle to feel powerful onstage and how to claim our right to be seen and heard!
  • Learn why denying or undervaluing your feminine self is a huge barrier to being empowered in your expression and could be what’s keeping you from fulfilling on your music goals.
  • Learn a powerful technique you can use again and again to connect more deeply with your audience, dissolve any stage fright and own the stage you were born for.
  • Discover a non-linear feminine pathway to help you identify where you are stopped in fulfilling on your music goals and what to do to move forward.

  • Do you experience Stage fright?
  • Do you feel uncomfortable when other people's attention is on you?  Does this keep you from feeling powerful onstage?
  • Do you feel limited and disempowered when you think about taking the next step in your music career?
  • Do you feel overwhelmed by all the things you need to practice to become a better musician?

In this free 3 hour introductory workshop, you will learn.

~ Why, as women, we struggle onstage and exactly what we can do to become confident onstage AND off.
~ The barriers that keep you from feeling powerful in your voice and onstage
~ Why practicing and becoming a "better" musician is not enough and how to know exactly what to focus on in your practice.
~ How to find your inner "bad-ass" and own the stage in a way that is connected, authentic and utterly feminine.
~ Why making money is not the focus (at first) AND how you CAN make it as a musician.

Come discover your true voice and confidence to be the musician you were born to be in a sacred space with other women!

YOU MUST REGISTER TO ATTEND. Space is limited and to get into the room, you will need to be on the list at least 1 hour prior to the start time of workshop.
